CJ distributes computers to schools

TURA: Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court Justice Biswanath Sommader, who is on his maiden visit to the Garo Hills, handed over computers and other educational equipment to schools while on a visit to Williamnagar on Wednesday. He was accompanied by his wife.
Accompanied by the Law Secretary, Wilfred Khyllep, the chief justice visited the District and Sessions Court and gave away the equipment to selected schools under the Legal Literacy Club Scheme-2012.
Addressing the gathering during the programme, Justice Sommader said that the computers and other equipment given to the schools would help to bridge the learning gap post COVID-19 pandemic, and encouraged the students to fully utilise them. Somaddar had, on Tuesday, paid his maiden visit to Baghmara in South Garo Hills.
