SHILLONG: A COVID-19 positive woman has given birth to a healthy baby boy at NEIGRIHMS on Friday evening.
DHS Dr Aman War said it was a normal delivery.
Meanwhile, Health Minister A L Hek congratulated the parents and informed that both the mother and the newborn are in good health.
However, the mother will be taken for a re-test after 14 days quarantine in the hospital and sample of the baby will also be taken for test, the health minister said.
It may be mentioned that the woman and her husband are Delhi returnees. They were under quarantine after their arrival in Shillong.
