Night curfew reinforced in EKH

Shillong: The District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills in an order issued on Saturday reinforced night curfew in the district with effect from June 15 to 22 from 9 pm to 5 am.
The District Magistrate said that the order will not apply to essential services as mentioned in earlier orders. However, home delivery of food can be made till 10 pm.
The order also will not apply to authorized workshops and designated spare parts dealerships, Health & Family Welfare Department and government officials on duty.
All protocols and procedures including social distancing, limiting of field staff to the barest minimum and other advisories of government need to be followed.
Curfew passes can be obtained via online application at www.eastkhasihills.gov.in.
The District Magistrate also issued another order on Saturday reinforcing prohibition of inter-state movement and assembly of people in the district including Shillong urban agglomeration, Sohra and Pynursla Civil Sub-Divisions and C&RD Blocks with effect from June 15 to 22 from 5 am to 9 pm.
The order also prohibits operation of major markets and unregulated shopping complexes in all commercial locations.
Border trade with Bangladesh through land customs stations is permitted subject to strict compliance of the standard operating procedures issued by the state government.
However, trade at border haat is still prohibited.
