Recovered patients discharged from Corona centre in Tura

TURA: The two Covid-19 patients from West Garo Hills who were declared fully recovered on Tuesday were discharged on Wednesday morning from the Corona Care Centre at the Tura Civil Hospital.

West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Ram Singh and Officer on Special Duty and Incharge, Corona Care Centre D D Shira along with doctors and other health officials were present while the two recovered patients were sent off to their homes.

Speaking during the brief sending off ceremony, Ram Singh congratulated the entire team of the Corona Care Centre including sanitization workers for their dedicated service to the patients at the facility. Ram Singh said that while the virus has all along been portrayed to be deadly, the patients have been able to recover due to proper preventive measures and isolation, which gives hope to the people. Stating that the virus might not be as it was made out to be, he highlighted the need to follow the guidelines and advisories properly.
