SHILLONG: A city Samaritan, Michael Kharsyntiew, on Thursday, organised a distribution programme at the Pinewood Hotel staff quarters for the casual and temporary employees to support them in such a time of crisis.
Items including rice, pulses, salt, vegetables, spices, dal et al were given to 72 houses of the service staff.
“Some of them have recently been relieved from their post and not given extension due to no business operations at Pinewood and State Convention Centre due to the COVID-19-induced lockdown,” Kharsyntiew said.
