TURA: The shop keepers of Urban Marketing Hub at Ringrey in Tura on Friday requested the Tura Municipal Board (TMB) to exempt room rent and power bills for the whole lockdown period beginning from March 25 this year.

In their letter to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of TMB, the shop keepers pointed out that as their shops were closed for the entire lockdown period, no income could be generated by them from the source.

“We hope and pray that you will consider our request and exempt the said payment for the time period,” they said.

A copy of their letter was also forwarded to the Chief Minister and the Deputy Commissioner.
