JOWAI: A day before bidding adieu to West Jaintia Hills and handing over charges to a new Superintendent of Police (SP), outgoing SP, Lakador Syiem, on Tuesday released a short film dedicated to women police of the district for their active role in tackling issues related to women.
The short films entitled — Phenomenal Woman: Beyond the Call of Duty — is not only a tribute to women police but also a wake-up call for the women to come forward and seek justice.
“A woman is a mother, a sister, a wife, an inspirer, a helper and a career. I thank the women police for their efforts in rendering their services to the department and the public at large,” Syiem said.
It may be mentioned that this is not the first time that the West Jaintia Hills District Executive Force (WJH DEF) has released a short film.
