TUR meets DGP for hawkers

SHILLONG: The association of street vendors, TUR, on Wednesday narrated the plights of the hawkers to DGP, R Chandranathan, alleging that some police personnel randomly chased vendors away.
The organisation has urged the state government and the Police to allow the vendors to start their business. On the other hand, the organisation has also requested the dorbar shnong to support the vendors who eke out a livelihood in different areas of the city.
