Assam reports 735 new COVID-19 positive cases

GUWAHATI: Assam reported another 735 more COVID-19 cases on Sunday, out of which 400 cases are reported from Guwahati city alone, Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said.

“‘Alert ~ 735 new #COVID ve+ cases in Assam, 400 in Guwahati alone,” tweeted Assam Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted.

With the detection of these new cases, the total number of cases in the state now stands at 16806, out of which 5873 are active cases. Around 10894 persons have recovered and 36 deaths are reported from the disease so far.
