JOWAI: West Jaintia Hills on Monday morning became a witness to a uxoricide after a man identified as Fortunate Pala reportedly killed his wife, viz. Nimai Phawa at her residence at Mihmyntdu village.
In a bid to conceal the crime, Pala even tried to hang his wife with a rope after perpetrating the murder. The locals informed that their seven-year-old son was also kidnapped and later thrown into a stream along the Jowai Bypass by his father, few miles away from the village.

The accused is at large.
CSWO’s appeal
