SHILLONG: In view of the incessant rainfall in the city, the shutdown of the Greater Shillong Water Works, which was scheduled for July 9 and 10, could not be carried out.
A statement on Monday has, therefore, informed that the shutdown will be now in effect from 7 am of July 14 till 10 pm of July 15.
The Superintending Engineer (PHE), Electrical Circle, Shillong, has reiterated that supply of water from GSWSS will not be available during the shutdown period, while urging the public to store water
for utilisation during the shutdown
period.
