Meghalaya Speaker calls meeting to discuss COVID situation

GUWAHATI: Speaker of Meghalaya Assembly, Metbah  Lyngdoh has convened a meeting to discuss the COVID-19 situation in the state. The meeting which is underway, is attended by legislators from both ruling alliance and the opposition parties besides government officials.

“Meeting called by the Hon’ble Speaker of the #Meghalaya Legislative Assembly attended by members of the ruling and opposition and State Govt. officials to discuss the #COVID__19 situation in Meghalaya is currently underway,” tweeted the Chief Minister, Conrad Sangma

Meghalaya has  reported 305 COVID-19 positive cases so far, out of which  267 cases have been detected in East Khasi Hills district including 201 cases among BSF personnel.
