Meghalaya’s 5th death due to COVID-19 may induce lockdown at Mawbah

SHILLONG: In light of the latest COVID-19 casualty in the state, Meghalaya Health Minister AL Hek on Friday informed that the state health authorities are assessing the gravity of the situation and if seen as a pressing requirement they will have to consider imposing lockdown in Mawbah (Barapathar) area where the fifth death due to COVID-19 has been reported from.
