Shullai announces financial package

SHILLONG: BJP leader and South Shillong MLA, Sanbor Shullai, on Saturday announced a package of Rs. 18,12,92,469 for different schemes within Municipal Area and Cantonment Area under 19th South Shillong Constituency.
He announced the package during a meeting held for implementation of various government schemes during the year 2019-20, a statement issued on Sunday said.
The meeting, which was held at Assam Club in the city, was chaired by E Kharwanlang, Rangbah Shnong of Dorbar Shnong Laban.
The meeting was attended by representatives of various Dorbar Shnong, Seng Bhalang Ki Kynthei, Seng Samla, Sports and Cultural Club and local NGOs.
From the package, Rs 8.50 crore will be doled out to PWD while, under PHE & Municipal, 4.65 crore and 1.03 crore will be disbursed to Additional Water Supply Scheme (Greater Laban and Greater Lumparing), and Additional Water Supply Scheme (Oxford Hills, Kench’s Trace and Dunoon Compound) respectively.
The statement added that Rs. 1.45 crore will be given away for Children Green Park Scheme while Madan Laban Outdoor Stadium and Lumparing Indoor Sports Hall (Fencing) will get Rs 1.65 crore and Rs. 10 lakh respectively.
Moreover, Rs 10 lakh will be disbursed for RCC slab cover between Dorbar Laban and Lower Lumparing border while 62.2 lakh will be given away for SUWP Scheme 2019-20 (Municipal and Cantonment Area).
