Assault
GSU East Zone, Williamnagar president, Baljrang Tengrik R Marak, lodged a complaint that on July 22 night, miscreant(s) in a vehicle (ML-05H-0229) assaulted their members, viz. Bamsrang Ch Marak and Cheban, with iron rods.

Fraudulent transaction
Anish Kumar Singh lodged a complaint saying that he received a message informing that his Kotak Mahindra Savings account number has expired and that he should contact the number provided in the message for further details. Later, Rs 48,900 was fraudulently deducted from his account.
Tibingson B Sangma lodged a complaint about three unauthorised transactions that took place from his savings account on June 30, on July 1 and on July 2.

Cattle stolen
Dilipson Marak of Bolsalgre village, South West Garo Hills, lodged a complaint that on July 5, 10, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21, two persons — Bobing D Sangma and Dononjoy Hajong — stole cattle from the house of Sahone T Sangma, Balnan D Sangma, Tedina Marak, Munith Sangma, Enoch Ch Momin, Sengrim G Momin and Wensing Sangma, respectively. Later, one of the accused, Dononjoy Hajong, was apprehended, while his accomplice is still absconding.

Theft
S Najiar, SDO (PHE), Jowai Sub-Division lodged a complaint that July 18 around midnight, miscreant(s) stole pump set valued around Rs one lakh from WSS Pump House at Thadbamon village, West Jaintia Hills.
P Rynthong lodged a complaint that on July 23, miscreant(s) broke into her house and stole Rs 2,75,500.
