Drug trafficker in police net

TURA: West Garo Hills Police have managed to arrest a drug trafficker during a naka checking at Bogulurbhita outpost under Tikrikilla Police Station leading to the seizure of a huge consignment of drugs.

According to the West Garo HIlls Police Web Page, acting on credible inputs a naka check was conducted by a police team on July 26 during which one, Enzamul Hoque was arrested after observing legal formalities. A total of 178 strips (1424 tablets) of Sinpax Capsules were also recovered from the arrested person. A case has been registered and efforts are being made to arrest the remaining culprits, the police statement said.

“We appeal to all the citizens to please stay away from the dark web of Drug addiction, and provide valuable inputs to Police, in nabbing criminals involved in transport and peddling of Drugs, and also to help the Police, to bring the victims of drug addiction, out of this vicious cycle,” the statement added.
