Tributes paid to slain AR jawan at Guwahati airport

GUWAHATI: The Assam Police and Assam Rifles on Friday paid tribute to the mortal remains of havildar Pranay Kalita of 4 Assam Rifles at the LGBI Aiport in Guwahati.

The mortal remains of the slain Assam Rifles jawan who was killed in an ambush by insurgents in Chandel district of Manipur on Wednesday morning, arrive in the airport here on Friday noon.

Earlier, Assam Chef Minister, Sarbananda Sonowal had directed that the Assam Rifles jawan be cremated with  state honour.
