Nongpoh: Various vulnerable areas including the Toll Plaza of the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) at 20th Mer Pahammawlein village in Ribhoi district were disinfected by the members of Hynniewtrep National Youth Front (HNYF) 20th Mile circle on Saturday.
HNYF president, Dimon Suting said that the federation conducted the disinfection drive in the village considering the fact that this is one of the important business locations being used by many adjoining villages for selling their local produce as well as other transactions. ‘One of the vulnerable areas here is the Toll Plaza as this is the gateway being used not only by the people of our state but by several other Northeastern states as well. Therefore, we felt the need disinfect the area to protect our people from the dreaded covid-19 which has claimed many lives across the globe’ Suting said.
