Districts ban sale of bottled correction fluids

NONGPOH/MAWKYRWAT: The district magistrates of Ri Bhoi and East Jaintia Hills have put a ban on the sale as well as production of bottled correction fluid and thinners in their respective districts.
“Under Section 144 CrPC, the production and sale of bottled correction fluid as well as bottled thinners of any chemical composition, generally used in offices for erasing ink as well as nail polish removers and other similar purposes, has been prohibited”, the orders from the district magistrates stated.
Any breach of the directive will invite legal action.
