2372 new COVID-19 cases detected in Assam on Thursday

GUWAHATI:  Total 2372 new COVID-19 cases were detected out of 55671 tests conducted in Assam in the last 24 hours. Positivity rate is as low as 4.25%.

Out of the new cases Kamrup (Metro) reported maximum 470 cases, Nagaon 197 cases, Cachar 163 cases, Dibrugarh 128 cases, Tinsukia 122 cases and Jorhat 104 cases

Meanwhile, 1332 patients were discharged from various COVID hospitals and care centres in the state of Thursday.

State Health Minister, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma said that so far 37224 patients had recovered in the state from COVID-19. The total active patients are 15464.
