SHILLONG: The state government has asked pressure groups and others to desist from detaining trucks and other vehicles carrying vegetables and other essentials in the state.
Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong, on Wednesday said that the government is aware of stray incidents where trucks carrying vegetables were detained by some groups.
“The government has taken note of these incidents,” Tynsong said, even as he informed that the government would send reminders to all the deputy commissioners to ensure unhindered movement of trucks carrying vegetables from the state.
