KHLIEHRIAT: The Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District has issued advisory for admission to various courses in higher secondary schools for 2020-2021.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the DC said for urban areas, all admission forms/prospectus will be issued online and for rural areas, these will be issued both online and offline free of cost.
It said forms may be submitted both online and offline. While online submissions can be made as soon as documents are available with the applicants, for offline, institutions will collect the admission forms in a staggered manner limiting the number to a maximum of 200 students per day.
Separate sessions may be designed if there is a rush. In case of unanticipated rush, institutions may opt for other means like using alphabetical order of names of student applicants (A-D, E-H, etc range can vary accordingly) or by method of segregation by gender and by allotting respective time schedule during working hours, it said.
The order said fees should be paid online or offline using bank transfer/payment portals authorised by RBI.
The institutions should provide the bank details either to be mentioned in the application forms or displayed in the website.
In addition, the payment of fees can be made offline by students from remote areas (only) where this is the only viable option. Cash/cheque payment may be accepted in such areas after ensuring that all protocols and social distancing norms are strictly followed.
The DC also informed that the second phase of admissions will be open again from August 8 and payment of fees will be allowed for 7 days from the date of announcement of results for admission.
