DHS clarifies on delay in results

SHILLONG: The DHS (MI) Dr Aman War has said that there is no foul play in the delay for announcing the results of General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) exams which were held last year.
War said that the results were supposed to be declared in March this year and the results were not announced due to COVID.
“When new ones will join, some of them will not have experience and with this COVID, if anything happens, we will suffer and hence its not declared,” DHS said.
Stating that the state has lot of para medical staffs who have passed out from the state and outside, the department is trying to engage them on contractual basis for helping the government in the fight against COVID-19.
“There is no hanky-panky in the delay of results and we will declare when time is right and as per the decision of the committee which has been setup,” he said.
