SHILLONG: The Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) has clarified that the press release for containment orders issued on July 30, July 31 and August 1 should have read as “due to the detection of positive COVlD-19 cases/high risk contacts” and not as “due to the detection of positive COVlD-19 cases” as issued by the directorate.
The July 30 order related to house No. C/D-015, near Full Gospel Fellowship Church, central Nongrim Hills and the building and compound of Mayorika Lyngdoh, house of Kitbok Wanrieh, house of Sweety Lapang and house of Ricky Kharshandi of Block II and house of Wanpynshai Nongrum of Block III in Lumpyngngad.
The July 31 order was for houses and compounds of Elinora Lyngdoh and Margaret Lyngdoh of Block -II Golflink Khlieh Shnong, Shillong, house of Perlinsila Rumnong near the Bilco School, Pynthorbah, house of Bapon Dey, Saint Nanak School lane, Pynthorbah and house of Mildred Pyngrope near Shiv Mandir, Block-2 Pynthorbah, Shillong and house and compound of Karuna Dey, lane No. 3 plot No. 44 at R.R. Colony, Shillong.
The DIPR said the August 1 order was for buildings and compounds of Julie Kharmawphlang, Block D, Nongrimmaw, Shillong and Anil Toi, Lower New Colony, Laitumkhrah, Shillong, compounds of Abdul Bari and Sanisha Kharlukhi at Mawbah Barapathar, Shillong, Block II of Mawiong Rim from the building of Talas Massar to flower nursery, Block IV of Mawiong Rim from the building of M. R. Nongrum to H. Marwein and Block IV of Mawiong Rim from the house of G. Lyngdoh to the house of S. Marwein, Laitkor Nongdaneng and Laitkor Rngi, houses of Mainly Warji, Chinapatty, Arcdia Kharmujai, Dhanketi, Dapda Warjri and Parkordor Jarain of Lumbalang, Jenny Mary Basaiawmoit, Khliehshnong and Balbarico Kharmudai, Kharmalki of Malki, Shillong and De’Arco and Lovely Stores at Malki Point, Malki, House No. U/B-007, behind Victoria Landmark Guest house, Upper Nongrim Hills, Shillong and house and compound of Dr. Teiborlang Rymbai in Demthring Block-I, Shillong.
The DIPR has issued an apology for the mistake stating that it is ‘not intentional and the inconvenience and hurt caused to concerned persons is highly regretted’.
