Assam DGP tests positive for COVID-19

GUWAHATI: Assam’s Director General of Police (DGP) Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta has tested positive for COVID-19. The DGP Mahanta is now undergoing home isolation. He was suffering from fever and cough from Sunday and tested positive today.

Earlier several top officials of Assam Police also tested positive for COVID-19. So far Assam police have lost six of its brave corona warriors to the virus.
