2792 new COVID-19 cases detected Assam on Monday

GUWAHATI: As many as 2792 COVID19 positive cases were detected in Assam today out of 49510 tests done. The positivity rate is 5.63%. Out of the new cases, 458 are in Kamrup (Metro), 227 are in Cachar, 225 are in Dibrugarh and 195 are in Kamrup (Rural).

On the other hand, 1519 patients were discharged from various hospitals in the state today.

Meanwhile, 197 persons in the state have succumbed to the virus infection so far including eight patients who died on Monday.
