Active COVID19 cases in Meghalaya mount to 806

SHILONG: With detection of 49 new COVID19 positive cases and recovery of nine more persons in the state, the total number of active COVID19 cases in Meghalaya has been reported to be 806 as per the latest official bulletin issued by the Director of Health Services.

East Khasi Hills (EKH) district has the maximum number of 492 active cases including 97 among BSF, 318 others and 77 among Army personnel; Ri Bhoi district das 95 cases, West Garo Hills (WGH) has 189 cases.

Of the 49 new cases detected in the state, 47 have been reported from East Khasi Hills (17 BSF and 30 others), two in North Garo Hills.

So far, 694 persons have recovered from COVID19 in the state which has reported six deaths till date.
