Assam reports 8 more deaths due to COVID19, toll mounts to 221

GUWAHATI: Eight more persons  died of COVID-19 in Assam where 1735 new COVID-19 cases were detected. The death toll due to COVID-19 in the state went up to 221 even as 2772 patients were discharged from various COVID hospitals in the state on Thursday.

Those died today were identified as Mira Begum (70) and Saifuddin Ahmed (48) of Kamrup (Rural); Muktar Hussain (49) of Barpeta; Chakradhar Gogoi (48) and Chow Tharsa Nangpung (60) of Dibrugarh, Shukla Dutta (60) of Karimganj; Dorsing Terang (45) of Karbi Anglong and Dipak Kumar Raha (46) of Dhubri
