SHILLONG: With an aim to protect COVID-19 frontline workers, the Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (DBT-IBSD), Shillong, distributed the institute-made surface disinfectant to the Veterinary department at Upper Shillong on Thursday, for disinfecting the surface of cow shed areas and other milk processing unit at Upper Shillong. The initiative was led by Director, IBSD, Prof Pulok K Mukherjee.
Others who were present include Dr AKN Lamare, Assistant Director, Indo-Danish Project and his team, along with IBSD, Meghalaya Scientific Staff.
DBT-IBSD Centres in different parts of North East are actively participating and serving the society amid COVID-19 by distributing of sanitisers, disinfectant and face masks, a statement said.
The Institute will continue its distribution to the city’s numerous front-liners, it added.
