Pig transportation
South Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner HB Marak has put a complete ban on transportation of pigs from affected zones and there will also be a ban on interstate and inter-district movements of pigs until further orders. The move comes following the confirmed cases of African Swine Fever in villages under West Jaintia Hills, East Khasi Hills and Ri Bhoi.
