SHILLONG: The Vice-Chairman of Forest Development Corporation of Meghalaya Limited, Enamul Hoque, has petitioned Chief Minister Conrad Sangma to construct 2.5-km-long road from Haripur PWD Road to Kunatchar NEC Road with an RCC bridge.
Hoque said the project would be of great help to the people who suffer every year due to the annual floods in the plains of Garo Hills.
He also exhorted the state government to provide a veterinary aid centre at Kashiabari and to construct embankment from Magurmari to Sabribari.
The corporation also wants the government to convert AMPT Road from Rajabala to Garobadha via Hallidayganj into NH-127 B.
