BSF IG Kuldeep Saini retires

SHILLONG: After 36 years of service in the Border Security Force (BSF), Meghalaya, Inspector General, Kuldeep Saini, retired on Monday.
He had joined Frontier Headquarter BSF, Meghalaya, on January 8, 2019. During the length of his service, Saini served at Baikantpur (West Bengal), North East (Shillong and Tripura), Kashmir Valley and Force Headquarters in various portfolios.
In the 36-year period, he was conferred with five DGs CR, Police Medal for Meritorious Service in 2007 and President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service in 2015.
Cattle seized
Meanwhile, Border Security Force (BSF) troops, on Monday, seized 53 cattle heads from East Khasi Hills and West Jaintia Hills amounting to Rs 4.3 lakh, a statement said.
