Baghmara celebrates Teachers’ Day

TURA: Together with the rest of the country, Baghmara town in South Garo Hills also celebrated the 59th Teachers Day event on Saturday at the Baptist Community Hall in the district headquarters.
   The Deputy Commissioner of South Garo Hills District Hubert B.Marak who was the Chief Guest of the occasion congratulated the District awardees and reiterated the contribution made by the teaching fraternity in transforming the society also in uplifting the younger folks in educating them.
    During the brief function the District awardees were also felicitated with certificatea and cash awards. The district awardees felicitated were Master Lindstorm K Marak, Headmaster of Rugapara Deficit Secondary School, Dobin N Marak Headmaster of Dambuk Aga Upper Primary school and Jacqueline Veronica M Sangma Head teacher of South Kapasipara Govt LP School.
