TURA: The Garo Hills Deficit School Teachers’ and Employees’ Association (GHSTEA) has submitted a memorandum to Education Minister, Lahkmen Rymbui urging him to look into the release of their three months pending salaries.

According to the association, despite the DSEL in Shillong already releasing the amount the three months salaries of their counterparts from South West Garo Hills was being delayed due to lack of financial powers with the newly appointed DSEO of the district. The association while informing that the pending salaries were causing hardships to the said teachers urged the minister to look into the matter at the earliest.

A copy of the memorandum was also forwarded to the Director of School Education and Literacy (DSEL) in Shillong and the Deputy Commissioner of South West Garo Hills.
