GUWAHATI: Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu today highly appreciated the services of Robin Kumar, Superintendent of Police, Barpeta District, for performing the dual role of a doctor and police officer to fight COVID-19 pandemic.
Taking to his official Twitter handle, Vice President Naidu said, “It is a great gesture of service. My appreciation to Shri Robin Kumar, Barpeta District SP in Assam for performing the dual role of a doctor & police officer to fight COVID-19 pandemic.”
In reply to a tweet in his official Twitter handle, Vice-President said, “By running a COVID care centre, Dr. Kumar, a specialist in medicine, has exemplified India’s core values of ‘Share & Care’.” SP Kumar is a 2013 batch IPS officer with specialisation in medicine (MBBS, MD). SP Kumar is currently running a 50-bedded Covid care centre with ICUs in Barpeta Police Reserve.
