CM lauds NESAC

SHILLONG: Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Monday appreciated North Eastern Space Application Centre (NESAC) for its contribution to the northeastern region for the overall development through space technology and IT enabled services. NESAC celebrated its 20th Foundation Day on Monday.
The chief minister, via video conference from his official chamber spoke on the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and how he envisioned a vibrant India with the use of technology and its allied application.
During COVID times, everybody in the world has used IT enabled services for meetings and conferences and for collection of data which has helped in governance, the chief minister said via video conference.
NESAC was established as a joint initiative of the Department of Space (DOS) and the North Eastern Council and came into being on September 5, 2000.
