SHILLONG: Following the culmination of Hindi Pakhwada, the Border Security Force (BSF), Ftr HQ Shillong, organised the ‘Hindi Diwas’ on Monday.
On the occasion, the importance of Hindi language was deliberated upon by various speakers.
D Haokip, DIG (PSO) and President of Rajbhasha (Hindi) Committee, distributed the commendation card to BSF personnel who obtained first, second and third positions in various competitions organised during the fortnight celebration as per the directions of Ministry of Home Affairs.
Quiz, noting/drafting, essay writing and typing competitions in Hindi were organised by the BSF from September 1 as part of the observance of Hindi Pakhwada.
