Ten more die of COVID19 in Assam, toll up to 492

GUWAHATI: Ten more persons died of COVID19 pandemic in Assam today taking the death toll up to 492 even as 2409 new cases were detected in the state during the last 24 hours with a positivity rate of 7.35 per cent.

The deceased were identified as Gauri Gogoi (58) of Tinsukia, Britendra Daimary (56) of Karbi Anglong, Binayak Prasad Saraf (74) of Kamrup Metro, Jyotish Talukdar (50) of Barpeta, Mahabir Prasad Sharma (60) of North Lakhimpur, Chandar Prasad Das (73) of Dibrugarh, Eliza Begum (70) of Dibrugarh, Kamal Ranjan Dutta (78) of Kamrup Metro, Bithi Sharma (78) of Kamrup Metro and Jogeswar Gogoi (52) of Kamrup Metro.

Out of the newly-detected cases 633 are in Kamrup Metro, 201 in Dibrugarh, 172 in Jorhat and 120 in Lakhimpur.
