WKH house gutted in fire

SHILLONG: The house of Arjolin Sangkhor, a widow with eight children, in Upper Nongkyndang, Mawshynrut Block, West Khasi Hills, was gutted with almost all of the possessions being ruined.
The incident happened on September 10, around 4.30 pm.
All the items inside the house including clothing and foodgrains were destroyed in the mishap. Fortunately, there was no casualty reported as the house was empty during the incident.
Fernandez S Dkhar, general secretary of Meghalaya Pradesh Youth Congress (MPYC), lent a helping hand to the family by donating rice, blankets, clothes and CGI sheets.
Dkhar thanked the MPYC members who contributed for the unfortunate family.
