159 funeral attendees test negative

MAWKYRWAT: The Health department, on Saturday, conducted COVID-19 test for 187 people, who attended a funeral of a COVID patient at Mawsaw village in South West Khasi Hills.
The District Surveillance Officer of South West Khasi Hills, Dr W Nary, said that the Health department had collected samples of as many as 27 high-risk contacts for RT-CPR test and one for TRUENAT test. The results are awaited.
The officer also informed that 159 funeral attendees were tested by Rapid Antigen Test, and result came out as negative for the whole lot.  He also clarified that the daughter of Handarius Sangriang had tested positive, and not Sangriang.
