NONGPOH: Ri Bhoi Deputy Commissioner, RM Kurbah, on Friday informed that the number of recovered COVID-19 cases has exceeded the caseload of the district by 91.
Speaking to media persons, Kurbah informed that various schools, which were being used as quarantine centres, have been vacated except St. Paul’s Higher Secondary School, Nongpoh.
The school was turned into a Corona Care Centre and would soon be shifted to the GNM Nursing School at Pahamsyiem, Kurbah said.
At present, there are four Corona Care Centres in the district —State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD), Nongsder, Conservation Training Institute (CTI), Byrnihat, Tourism Center, Umling and St. Pauls Higher Secondary School.
