Tynsong slams Cong allegations of COVID-19 mismanagement

SHILLONG: The state government appears to be visibly irked with the periodic attacks launched by the opposition Congress on the ruling MDA coalition on matter pertaining to management of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong on Wednesday took umbrage against the opposition Congress, saying, “For the Opposition even if it is white they will say black. Everybody knows their role. Let the people judge how we are trying our best to fight the pandemic.”
“No one is perfect,” Tynsong said while stressing on the need to highlight the positive aspects as well. “Why is the opposition highlighting isolated cases. Why don’t they talk about 99 other things that we have done right,” he questioned.
Dismissing the mismanagement slur levelled by the Congress, he said the government would continue to do its job in the best interest of the people of the state.
