Police outpost shut after official tests positive

SHILLONG: The Gumaghat Outpost in South West Khasi Hills on Thursday was abruptly shut after one of its officials tested positive for COVID-19.
According to a police statement, the police officials of the outpost have been placed under medical observation.
Meanwhile, the public within the jurisdiction of Gumaghat Outpost have been urged to approach to Ranikor police station for official purposes.
“The outpost is being disinfected as per protocols and once the establishment has been declared fit for reoccupation, it will then be opened for official works,” the statement said.
