SHILLONG: The FKJGP has expressed discontent over the inspection at a place in Langpih which was reportedly carried out by Assam government whilst demanding of the state government to be firm with its neighbour.
In a statement issued here, the FKJGP, Langpih area unit, said it was astonished to learn that the officials from Assam on October 11 came to inspect a place at Madansohstap (Mawlaisyiem), a locality between Mawlan-B and Ktiehthawiar, which is on the way from Nongstoin to Langpih.
The FKJGP alleged that the inspection was carried out as the neighbouring state claims that this area of land was bought during the time of Assam government.
The Federation has also called on the Assam government to not intervene into the matters relating to the areas falling under the state territory.
The FKJGP has also demanded of the state government to take prompt action and not be a mere spectator such acts.
The Federation has also urged the people inhabiting those areas to stand firm in their opposition to such acts by the neigbouring state.
