Minister determined to serve people at his best

SHILLONG: NPP legislator, Dasakhiat Lamare, who became one of the youngest MLAs to be sworn in as a minister, has said that his idea is to serve the people and the state in the remaining two-and-half years besides planning the schemes and projects in such a way that its benefits reach the masses.
The new minister, who has been given the charge of PWD (Buildings) and Fisheries department, said he is trying to understand the departments as it has just been few weeks since he has taken over the charge.
Stating that he would take around two weeks more to cope with all the ins and outs of the departments, Lamare said though he cannot assure that everything will go as planned, but he will ensure that implementation of projects and schemes are expedited for everyone’s benefit.
