Night curfew
The Ri Bhoi District Administration has extended the night curfew in the district till October 31. According to a statement on Friday, the curfew will be imposed every day from 9 pm to 5 am. “Curfew passes are to be obtained via online application from www.ribhoi.gov.in,” the statement said.

COVID centre
The South West Garo Hills deputy commissioner has informed that the COVID-19 screening centre at St. Claret School, Ampati, has been shifted to BADO multi-facility centre, near Students’ Field, Ampati with effect from October 16, 2020.

Meet held
The Meghalaya Retired College Teachers’ Association (MRCTA) on Friday held a general web meeting to discuss the matters pertaining to the situation brought about by the submission of answer scripts via postal service. The members during the meeting expressed concern over the crowd witnessed outside the Shillong GPO, especially at a time when COVID-19 cases are on the rise.
