SHILLONG: Ahead of its ‘Children’s Clothing Donation Drive’, the Inner Wheel Club of Pine City Shillong has asked one and all to donate children’s clothing (winter clothes preferably), new socks and undergarments, shoes, toys, blankets, sheets, towels, etc.
The donation drive will be organised on the occasion of Children’s Day in a bid to provide clothes to the underprivileged as the winter season is at hand.
According to a statement on Wednesday, the donations can be made till November 8 between 11am to 5pm either at Ferndale Apartments, Bread Cafe Laitumkhrah, Belgian Waffles GS Road or Gol Building, Jhalupara.
“The clothes you donate should be without holes, stains, missing parts or excessive wear. No used undergarments and socks will be accepted. The clothes should be clean and in wearable condition, minor tears are fine but remember someone is going to wear them,” the statement said.
