Dr Wandashisha Mylliemngap lodged a complaint that on October 29 around 2:30 pm, miscreant(s) stole her mobile phone from the Department of Adult and Continuing Education, NEHU, Shillong.
Break-in
Subir Kumar Deb lodged a complaint that on October 27, miscreant(s) broke into his house, which is occupied by his tenant, at Harisabha, Laban, and stole household items.
Shahidul Islam lodged a complaint that on October 23 evening, miscreant(s) broke into his house at Upper Kench’s Trace, Laban, and stole one laptop and one mobile phone.
Household items missing
Elilia Marbañiang lodged a complaint that on October 25, she found that her TV, cooking heater and laptop were missing from her rented house at Lumbasuk, Nongthymmai, Shillong. During inquiry, it transpired that one Aparna Khaklari, a resident of the same rented house, stole the aforesaid materials and sold the same through OLX. Later, the TV was recovered from one Iliza I Nongrum of Lapalang, Shillong, while the cooking heater was found hidden near the house of the accused.
Theft bid
On October 30 around 4:30 am, three unknown miscreant(s) attempted to steal diesel from two MTC buses (ML-03-0166 and ML-03-0141), which were parked at MTC Central Workshop, Law-U-Sib, Madanrting, Shillong.
Paddy field destroyed
Pyrkhatbha Muksor, Secy, Nongthymme village, EJH, lodged a complaint that unknown miscreant(s) destroyed a paddy field of the village at Mawpdang, Nongthymme area, EJH.
Coal transportation
On October 28 evening, police detected one Mahindra Bolero pick-up (ML-10A-4738) driven by one Ardent R Marak (25), while illegally transporting coal at 13th Mile, Byrnihat.
