Campaign
The Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority, as part of the Legal Services Day observance, will carry out a publicity campaign via a mobile van from 12 Mer Mylliem via Upper Shillong to Khyndai Lad, on Monday starting 9 am. At 9 am, another mobile van will start from Smit via Madanrynting Nongthymmai to Khyndai Lad, Motphran. An outlet will be set up at Khyndai Lad and Motphran simultaneously for distribution of pamphlets and poster campaign at 11 am. Circa 2 pm, there will be a webinar on free legal services followed by a press briefing in the office of MSLSA by NA Khan, Member Secretary, at 4 pm.

Licence renewal
East Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner (Supply), in a notification, has directed all fair price shop dealers, both urban and rural, in the district to submit applications for renewal of licences or dealership for the year 2021. The DC said that the renewal applications should be recommended by the vigilance committees of the respective centres and performance certificates should be obtained from the Sub-Inspector of Supply of the concerned area prior to submitting the applications. The last date for submission of applications is December 15, the DC said, adding that failing to submit them within the deadline will invite penalty.
