Sanbor provides assistance to landslide victims

SHILLONG: South Shillong MLA Sanbor Shullai, on Saturday, provided financial assistance and household materials to as many as ten families, who were affected due to the recent landslides in the city, at Lumsohphoh Community Hall, Upper Lumparing.
An amount of Rs 1.10 lakh was sanctioned and distributed to the landslide victims under the Discretionary Grant of 2020-21 by the South Shillong MLA, a statement issued here said.
Also present on the occasion included HB Wahlang, Rangbah Shnong of Upper Lumparing and Shaiphar Wahlang, Ragbah Shnong of Kynjat Phutbol, besides NG Dey (president), A Das (secretary) and Shibu Das (joint secretary) of Lumparing Welfare Society and members of Monitoring-cum-Implementation Committee (MCIC), 19th South Shillong Constituency.
The vote of thanks and prayer service was conducted by Testwell Nongdhar, president of the MCIC, Lumparing Unit.
